Three Nights, Three Scenes at 707

King Iso, Halloween Emo Night and The Queers take over Rapid City this weekend.

Friday night at 707 belongs to King Iso. By Saturday, Rapid City’s Fueled By Spite and The Outside Kids will bring the emo for Halloween. On Sunday, they’ll return with Wicked Six to open for The Queers.

It’s an unusually varied three-night stretch for 707 Sports Bar & Nightlife in Rapid City. From October 30 through November 1, the venue will host a national hip-hop tour, a Halloween party built around emo and pop-punk favorites, and a visit from one of punk rock’s longest-running bands.

Each night has its own lineup, audience and reason to show up. There are also plenty of local musicians on the bills, including one band pulling double duty over the weekend.

Friday, October 30: King Iso Brings the Ghetto Psycho Tour

The weekend begins Friday with King Iso, the Omaha-based rapper signed to Strange Music, the independent hip-hop label founded by Tech N9ne and Travis O’Guin.

King Iso has built a reputation for rapid-fire delivery and intensely personal lyrics, often addressing mental health, addiction, trauma and the circumstances that shape people’s lives. His 2025 album Ghetto Psycho takes on many of those subjects, and the supporting tour brings him to Rapid City on Friday.

Joining King Iso on the touring lineup are Taebo Tha Truth, Matt Phoenix and Venomstaydrippin. The show also features a substantial local hip-hop lineup, with Truly Veda, Half Dead & Guardian Angel, AKWRD and HBY Dior scheduled to perform.

Friday’s concert doubles as a Halloween costume party, with cash prizes of $200 for first place and $100 for second place in the costume contest.

The show begins at 6 p.m. and is open to ages 18 and older. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door or $35 for VIP admission.

Saturday, October 31: Emo Night Takes Halloween

Halloween night trades Friday’s hip-hop lineup for eyeliner, band shirts and the music of Blink-182, Green Day and the emo and pop-punk era.

707’s Emo Night Halloween combines a DJ-driven party with two live tribute sets from local bands. Fueled By Spite will take on Blink-182, while The Outside Kids will perform a set of Green Day covers.

Both bands are part of the Black Hills music scene, making Saturday’s show a chance to hear familiar local musicians take on songs that helped define a generation of pop-punk.

The evening will also include emo hits and deep cuts between performances, a costume contest and themed drinks. Unlike a traditional concert with a series of original sets, Saturday is designed around the Halloween party itself, with live bands contributing to the soundtrack.

Emo Night begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. Advance tickets are $15.

Sunday, November 1: The Queers Bring the Punk Rock

The Halloween weekend wraps up Sunday with The Queers, the veteran punk band whose fast, melodic songs and unmistakable Ramones influence have kept them on the road for more than four decades.

Formed in the early 1980s, The Queers became a familiar name in American pop-punk, building a catalog of short, catchy songs that blend punk’s speed and attitude with old-fashioned rock and roll melodies.

Fueled By Spite returns and Wicked Six also joins the bill, giving the evening another dose of local punk rock before The Queers take the stage. With both supporting acts drawn from the Black Hills music scene, Sunday’s lineup brings local bands together with a touring group whose career stretches back to the early days of American pop-punk.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with music beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the show.

One Venue, Three Different Crowds

The weekend is a good example of the range of concerts and nightlife events finding their way onto 707’s calendar. The venue has been booking touring hip-hop, punk, rock, themed dance nights and other entertainment alongside performances by musicians from the Black Hills.

The schedule continues into November with Shrek Rave on November 6, a hard rock and metal show on November 7, and Struggle Jennings on November 14.

For this weekend, though, the contrast is especially sharp. Friday brings a touring rapper and a substantial lineup of local hip-hop artists. Saturday turns Halloween into a pop-punk singalong. Sunday closes with an old-school punk bill.
