Lonesome Jones

Lonesome Jones is a Black Hills–region one-man band working in a lane between outlaw country, folk, and stripped-down rock. Built around guitar, vocals, and a road-tested solo setup, his shows lean into long-form sets, crowd interaction, and a mix of originals with familiar covers.

Before going solo, Jones fronted the garage-country outfit Them Som’Bitches, a Midwest-based band that blended punk energy with country instrumentation. During that run, the group opened for artists like Sturgill Simpson, Whitey Morgan, Raelynn Nelson, Chelsea Crowell, and Rachel Brooke—experience that still carries into his current live approach.

As a solo act, he’s focused on smaller rooms and regional touring across South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming, often playing extended sets that can stretch several hours. His material sits in a lo-fi, working-class Americana space—more barroom than studio-polished—prioritizing feel, storytelling, and consistency over production.

Lonesome Jones continues to write and release original music independently while building a following the old way: steady gigs, repeat rooms, and word of mouth.
