Black Hills Jazz Fest: South Dakota Jazz Orchestra Night

Join The South Dakota Jazz Orchestra directed by Danny Thornburg for a night of music from the golden age of big band to the modern day!

Don’t miss this chance to hear “The Sound of South Dakota” as the state’s flagship Jazz ensemble performs at The Journey Museum for the 2026 Black Hills Jazz Fest!

Under the direction of Danny Thornburg with featured artists Emma Taylor (Chicago, IL), Brendan Bull (Columbia, SC), Georgi Petrov (Salt Lake City, UT), and local guest artists Tony DeBlois.
