Grunge Pop at Summer Nights

Grunge Pop brings a night built around ’90s alternative and grunge covers, pulling from bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden, with some era-appropriate pop crossover mixed in.

Summer Nights runs Thursday evenings through the summer in downtown Rapid City, centered at 6th & Kansas City St, where the street fills in around a free outdoor stage. Each week brings a different band, with a mix of local staples, regional acts, and touring musicians rotating through. People show up early with lawn chairs, drift in from nearby restaurants and bars, and stay as long as they want, whether that’s a full set or just a few songs on their way through downtown.
