8th Hour at Summer Nights

8th Hour brings a crowd-friendly mix of rock, pop, and danceable covers to the Summer Nights stage, built for wide audiences and the kind of outdoor setting where people want songs they already know.

Summer Nights runs Thursday evenings through the summer in downtown Rapid City, centered at 6th & Kansas City St, where the street fills in around a free outdoor stage. Each week brings a different band, with a mix of local staples, regional acts, and touring musicians rotating through. People show up early with lawn chairs, drift in from nearby restaurants and bars, and stay as long as they want, whether that’s a full set or just a few songs on their way through downtown.
