The Ratcho at Summer Nights

The Ratcho brings one of the more distinct sounds in the Summer Nights lineup, leaning into funk, rock, and groove-driven playing with a stronger sense of band identity than a straight covers act.

Summer Nights runs Thursday evenings through the summer in downtown Rapid City, centered at 6th & Kansas City St, where the street fills in around a free outdoor stage. Each week brings a different band, with a mix of local staples, regional acts, and touring musicians rotating through. People show up early with lawn chairs, drift in from nearby restaurants and bars, and stay as long as they want, whether that’s a full set or just a few songs on their way through downtown.
