Stage Black Presents: The 39 Steps

Stage Black presents The 39 Steps, Patrick Barlow’s fast-paced comic spy story adapted from John Buchan’s novel and Alfred Hitchcock’s film. After a mysterious spy is murdered in his London apartment, Richard Hannay becomes an innocent man on the run. Four actors bring dozens of characters to life in a production filled with espionage, physical comedy, romance, and theatrical invention. Performances take place in the BHSU Black Box Theater on the third floor of Woodburn Hall. Base ticket prices are $25 for adults, $21 for military members, veterans, and seniors age 65 and older, and $15 for youth age 12 and under. Sales tax and ticketing fees are additional.
