The Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival

The Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival fills Downtown Rapid City from Main Street Square to Memorial Park with fall activities for the whole family. Attractions include a giant-pumpkin weigh-off, pumpkin launching by local students led by South Dakota Mines using trebuchets, a carved-or-painted pumpkin decorating contest, a Kidz Zone with jumping castles and pumpkin painting, the 4 Buck Chuck pumpkin toss, and more than 100 local vendors and food trucks. Pumpkin Decorating Contest participants should bring their carved or painted pumpkins by 10:00 AM.
