Granite Sun

Granite Sun is a Rapid City–based rock band built around a mix of original material and a wide-ranging cover set that pulls from across decades of rock. Their shows move easily between classic bands like Led Zeppelin and CCR, 90s alt staples like Stone Temple Pilots and Alice In Chains, and heavier influences like Tool and System of a Down.

The band has also started to gain attention beyond the local circuit, advancing through early rounds of Rolling Stone’s America’s Next Top Hitmaker competition, with strong support coming from within the Black Hills music community.

On stage, Granite Sun leans into variety and familiarity, balancing recognizable songs with their own material and a setlist that shifts depending on the room.
