BHCT Summer Stage

BHCT Summer Stage brings live theater into parks, community spaces, and outdoor venues across the Black Hills each summer. Designed to be free, family-friendly, and accessible, the touring program transforms everyday gathering places into temporary stages where audiences can experience classic stories, interactive activities, and local performers in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Each season features a production adapted for touring, with performances taking place at multiple locations throughout the region. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic dinners, while young theatergoers can enjoy pre-show games, crafts, and activities led by members of BHCT’s Apprentice Company.

Now in its third season, Summer Stage continues BHCT’s mission of bringing theater directly into the community and introducing new audiences to the magic of live performance.
