Founded in 2015, Racing Magpie is a Lakota-centered arts and culture organization in Rapid City dedicated to elevating and amplifying the work of Indigenous artists and culture bearers. Grounded in the Lakota value of being a good relative, the organization provides affordable studio space, a Native art gallery, and year-round arts and cultural programming designed to strengthen community connections. Through collaborative projects and creative gathering space, Racing Magpie plays a vital role in shaping a more inclusive and representative arts landscape in the Black Hills.
