Philip Daniel: Candlelit Piano Concert
Pianist and composer Philip Daniel returns to The Matthews for an intimate candlelit performance.
With more than 30 million streams worldwide, the Lincoln-based artist blends contemporary classical, cinematic scoring, and ambient textures into something immersive and immediate. Trained at the UMKC Conservatory, Philip builds his compositions live using looping, layered synths, and subtle percussion, creating music that evolves in real time. His sound draws comparisons to Ólafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm, and Philip Glass while remaining distinctly his own.
The evening features two immersive 45-minute sets in the warm acoustics of The Matthews. Doors open at 6:30 PM. General admission seating. Bar open.
A stripped-back space, low light, and music designed to linger long after the final note.
