Friday night at KatmanDoozie kicks off at 5 p.m. with a lineup rooted in storytelling, folk traditions, and Black Hills musicianship.

Power-folk trio The Black Asters opens the festival, followed by the multi-talented collective Betty GetDown and singer-songwriter Maddy Elwanger.

The evening closes with Play Some Petty, a Tom Petty tribute presented by The Biscuit Lifters.

Music begins at 5 p.m. Friday, August 28, at Katmandu Campground & RV Park near Sturgis.

Festival admission is free.
